Code of Ethics

  1. Honesty, fairness and courtesy from a moral philosophy, which associated with mutual interest among people, constitute the foundation of ethics.
  2. As the keystone of professional conduct is integrity, the Good News Home Inspections inspector will discharge his duties with fidelity to the public and clients with fairness and impartiality to all. It is the duty to interest himself in public welfare and to apply his special knowledge to the benefit of mankind.
  3. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will express an opinion only when it is founded on adequate knowledge and honest conviction.
  4. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will report on visible conditions that are dangerous and threatening to life, limb or property on work for which he is responsible.
  5. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will have due regard for the safety for life and health of the public and others who may be affected by the work for which he is responsible.
  6. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will not accept compensation, financial or otherwise, from more than one interested party for the same service, or for services pertaining to the same work, without the consent of all interested parties. The inspection work may not be used as a vehicle by the inspector to deliberately obtain additional work in another field.
  7. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will always act in good faith toward each client.
  8. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will not disclose any information concerning the results of the inspection without the approval of the client or their representative.
  9. The Good News Home Inspections inspector will not accept nor offer commissions or allowances, directly or indirectly, from or to other parties dealing with his client in connection with work for which the inspector is responsible.
